Welcome, Lets find a great first board for you!
Skateboard sizes are typically determined by the width of the skateboard deck, and there's no one-size-fits-all answer because it depends on your personal preferences and how you plan to use the skateboard. However, here are some general guidelines to help you choose the right size skateboard as a beginner:
Deck Width: The width of the skateboard deck is a crucial factor. Wider decks provide more stability, making them a better choice for beginners who are still learning to balance and control the board. A deck width between 7.75 inches and 8.5 inches is a good range for beginners.
For children, a deck smaller than 7.75 would be more comfortable.
Deck Shape: Skateboard decks come in various shapes, including standard popsicle shapes, wider cruiser shapes, longboards and surfskates.
As a beginner, a standard popsicle shape is usually a safe choice because it's versatile and suitable for various styles of skateboarding.
We would recommend getting a skateboard from our "Completes" section. As these come with everything you need and do not require any assembly.
